UHNW Family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teenagers) is looking for a highly skilled and trained Personal Chef. The family lives in S. Florida during the school year and spends summers in Southampton. Chef to travel with the family for the Summer. The desired Chef needs to be energetic, well balanced with a very family friendly personality.
Location and schedule:
Jan-May: Florida – Delray/Palm Beach. Monday – Friday
Flexibility to work occasional Sat or Sun when requested
June – Mid-August: New York/Southampton (temp housing provided). Wednesday – Sunday
September-December – Delray/Palm Beach Monday – Friday
Required
Highly skilled/trained chef w/experience in a household
Non-Smoker
Valid Driver’s License
Possesses own vehicle to drive to and from work
Legal to work in the U.S.
Flexibility to travel occasionally to other locations (in addition to above occasional travel with the family to other vacation places)
Upbeat, energetic and accommodating personality that can adjust to changing circumstances
Semi-formal household; not uniformed but professional [employer prefers clean and neat appearance, nothing tight fitting, too revealing or inappropriate]
Ability to work well with other staff
Experience around children
Ability to anticipate needs
Prompt and reliable with a strong work ethic
Duties:
Cuisine repertoire to include but not limited to: Light spa-like fare (low-fat), Classic American, Italian, “light version”, Asian, etc. Nothing fried rather creative healthy foods w/attention paid to presentation. Ability to cook dairy free, grain free and for specific allergies. Healthy vegan options and fish are needed as well.
Breakfast to be prepared when there are guests or as requested by the Managing Member or the Managing Member’s spouse but typically just lunch and dinner
Lunch to be prepared daily for the adults (school/camp lunches made in advance for children) and guests or as requested by the Managing Member and/or the Managing Member’s spouse
Dinner to be prepared daily for family and guests as requested
Snacks: Healthy snacks and baked items to be prepared and have available for as requested
Prepare meals and snacks in advance for days off for the Principal to provide 2 day meal coverage
Purchase fresh organic produce, meats and specialty items as needed from local vendors and submit receipts weekly.
Present a weekly menu 2 weeks ahead
Manage all aspects of kitchen; organize and tidy and clean daily, detail clean weekly, disinfect surfaces and maintain high level of cleanliness at all time
Maintain meticulous and organized pantry, refrigerator, and all supply storage spaces
Review, date and label necessary foods
Check expirations, discard and replenish foods as needed
Re-stock and tidy daily all refrigerators
Be cost effective without comprising quality
Provide flexibility to the family in case of changing schedules

– All candidates are required to provide authorization for a full (criminal/public record, driver and credit) background check, once being offered the position. The offer will be contingent on satisfactory completion.
